This year, along with all of your regular assignments, I'll be giving you weekly blog assignments as well that we will share with each other on Fridays at the start of class. Some of these assignments will be offered to you as creation exercises, and some will be researching information, tutorials and inspiration.
Here are few Photoshop tutorials to check out that we'll get started with today. Try a few of them today. And see what you like.
Scratch Art and Mixer Brush
Here's one on Scratch Art in Photoshop. There are also others on just painting in Photoshop using masks, and also the mixer brush.
We now have two tablets that you should all get familiar with. Plus with our Adobe CS6 Production Suite, there is a ton of software that you can play with!
Pixel Portrait.
Here's a video tutorial:
There are other tutorials available too. Please go to the 1059 folder on your desktops and open up the PickUp folder. Find Ms. Silverman pickup down at the bottom and open up the CyberARTS folder - Year Two. In there you will find the pixel portrait assignment, called Pixel Art.
After watching the video tutorial above and searching for other ones yourself - check the links on the assignment sheet too - you should create your own pixel self-portrait.
