Critique

I think everyone is starting to get the hang of blogging! Your first blog critique will be marked on Wed. Remember to write the full name of the artist and the title of the work you have chosen. Make sure that you have attached the CyberARTS logo. Also, update your link list for Year 1 students.

During Wed. seminar, we will be reading each other's posts and helping edit any errors on the blogs. Great work so far! I am waiting for four more links and we will have the entire class!

Congratulations! I have noticed that a few of you have gotten your first Spam comments! You are getting popular as a target for spammers across the world. I suggest adding moderation and/or word verification to your comments. This can be found in Settings.

Consider this use of New Media

The use of Music, Video, and Youtube is becoming a popular way to promote political views. As you watch this video, I do not want you to think about which US candidate you prefer. I would like you to consider how this type of new media is used for political campaigning. What kind of viewer does this video target? What is the message that is being communicated? What kind of people are used to promote this point of view? Do you think that this type of marketing is effective? Consider the time and effort it took to create this video. Be ready to discuss your ideas in class this week.

Welcome Back!

It is great to have all of my year 2 CyberARTS students back in the studio again. This semester will be packed with projects, opportunities, creativity and fun. Take this time to revamp (or begin) your blog. Ask each other for help when necessary. Design your blogs to they look beautiful and professional while showing your own personal style.

Leave your blog's URL in the comment section of this post so I can link to you easily when I am marking your online work.

Create a new post for this week on any topic that you want. You may choose to introduce yourself to Mr. K in your first post if you like. Let him know your strengths and learning style so he can get to know you better. Please proof read it before publishing so there are no spelling mistakes.
