Video Shot types

FIRST SHOOTING EXERCISE: 

Here is an example of the Five Shot method.

Notice that there are two extra shots used on top of the 3:6:9 idea of wide, medium, close from three different perspectives.

Go around the school and find something happening that you can use for this exercise. Please don't spend too much time on this. Go to one of these three locations. The wood shop, the auto shop, the Costmetology room.

Take 5 different shots for 10 seconds each. Use a tripod to set up stead shots and compose each shot carefully.

1. Tight or CU - hands or whatever the person is doing

2. Face - who's doing it

3. Medium - face and hands

4. Over the shoulder - just what it sounds like

5. A different angle (at least one of these)
