Now that you have been introduced to After Effects and the possibilities for animating typography, your next task is to choose your audio piece that you will animate and begin storyboarding.
FIRST however, I'd like you to practice storyboarding.
We will take 15-20 minutes of class today to storyboard the kinetic typography piece that you chose for your analysis.
I will provide you with a storyboard. You must do one page!
Please submit this when you are finished. I will take a look at the kinetic typography posted on your blog and mark both your analysis of the principles of animation as well as your storyboard of the first 20 images (1 page).
Good luck and have fun!
I've put some examples of storyboards as well as some templates in the Year 2 CyberARTS folder under Assignments for pickup.
Go HERE to find many many storyboard templates to choose from. Pick the one that suits you for storyboarding YOUR kinetic typography.
If you're into this and want more practice, then check the link below.
1. Check out this LINK and read it!
2. Create a storyboard for the first 100 frames of a movie you love. You can take the advice of Emma Coats, or choose any movie.
3. You do not have to do an entire movie, though if you're serious about film you might want to.
