Year Two's - New Blog Assignment:

Please write a reflection on our trip to the Art Gallery of Ontario.  What do you notice about seeing art first hand rather than in a book or online? Would you go again on your own? (don't forget free after 3 for students Tues- Fri)

Visit the Google Art Project to find artwork from the AGO that you remember and that made an impression on you (good or bad!)  Upload to your blog.

Or you may want to upload a photo that you took yourself that day.  Consider choosing a painting from the art history period you've studied for our presentations; choose a piece of art that really 'moved' you;  or even one that made you mad...  

Be sure to explain why you chose the piece and what you think about this artwork.  Let's stir up some discussion!  Visit each other's blogs and exchange ideas please;  that's half the fun! 

Note:  Not all of the AGO's artwork is on this site; however, the Google Art Project allows you to view many images in extremely high resolution.  If you can't find an image of an artwork you saw at the gallery, you may be able to find it on the usual 'Google images'. 

This assignment is due by next Monday, April 15th  and will be marked in lieu of a sketchbook assignment this week.  Thanks!
